The best bit about my challenge by far is the messages that I receive from people who also suffer from conditions where traditional treatment hasn't worked. Finding out about new therapies provides another possible avenue to recovery. I can't explain what a great feeling it is for people to discover a therapy they hadn't previously heard of, you could be helping to change someone's life...I know it sounds dramatic but it's true! I'm not even sure I'd be alive to do this challenge if people hadn't told me about these treatments and it's amazing to hear that they are helping others too!
Below are just a few of the messages that I have received throughout my challenge. With your help we can spread the word and hopefully make this list of messages even longer! Please take a moment to share this page, if you would like to donate to this fantastic cause then please clickhere
Message I received from an incredible
Soldier who suffers with PTSD
"Dear Bobbie, I should start by saying what a great thing it is that you are doing. I am glad that you are recovering so well, your website is very informative and has given me a new direction to pursue. I am a serving soldier. I was blown up in Afghanistan a few years ago resulting in the loss of my right leg below the knee and loss of sight in my right eye. I discovered your website by chance as I was looking up Kore Therapy. I was diagosed with vestibular migraine a few years ago after being misdiagnosed with something else. Your symptoms are very similar so I empathise there. Recently I have been suffering with PTSD ( not full blown PTSD) and have undergone some treatment which has not been successful. The TM is something that I will be looking at to ease the migraine and symptoms of PTSD. I may even be in a position to benefit from the research project that you are helping to raise money for. About the same time as the onset of the PTSD , I developed pains in my limbs and joints which is why I was researching 'Kore'. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the challenge. What you are doing is a great thing, truly inspirational. Thank you.".This person is starting KORE therapy & is going to learn TM too. I did point out that they are the one who is inspirational!
I received this message from a husband whose wife has had MVBD (what I have) for several years
"Hello Bobbie, i could not believe my eyes when I saw the article in the paper about you and MVBD. My wife has suffered for four years and continues to suffer from this dibilitating condition. We have been getting super help from a Dr at a Hospital but it took ages to find someone who knew what it was etc. My wife has been suffering from depression, all linked in with her MVBD and continues to struggle with daily life. I feel it would be good if she and I could meet you to discuss life with MVBD, moving on and your success with KORE therapy. I think this would be of such benefit to her. It would be good to hear from you." This person has had several KORE therapy treatments and is already feeling a relief in their symptoms, they are also looking into TM. I have met these people several times now, and we have spent many hours chatting - it's lovely to be able to provide support for each other.
